VOL. 15 NO.3 MAY 12, 2009 Was Miss California, Carrie Prejean, Set up?? Even though I don’t particularly care for beauty pageants, the recent story about a young lady named Carrie Prejean, Miss California, losing the crown based in large part, due to her response to a question, put to her by one of the judges, smells like a set up. First, according to many reliable sources, she was a ‘shoe in’ for the crown. All of her scores essentially had her, as a lock to become the new Miss U.S.A.. With her, and another young lady being the finalists, it is customary for the two, to answer a final question from the judges, to see, who can deal with the pressure of having to answer a question, for which they are unprepared. A great deal of preparation goes in to how the contestants are supposed to stand, smile, walk, sit, and display whatever talent they have. They rehearse hours on end, to get every thing right. But, when it comes down to these final questions, there is no amount of preparation for that, because the judges, can ask any question they want to, and the contestant will be judged by how satisfied the judges are with her answer. Just for the record, the question is only put to one contestant. That way, the other, girl, can’t get prepared to answer the same question, based on the response of the audience, or the judges. Now, the reason I ask the question about this possibly being a set up, is, the judge that put the question to Carrie, is an openly gay man, while Carrie, is a Born Again Christian. Actually, the only way a person can be a Christian, is if they are Born Again. The notion that a person can be a Christian, without being Born Again, is like there being light, without a source producing light. The Christian, is a follower, and brother/sister of Christ. This makes them God’s Children, another thing that can’t happen if the person is not Born Again. Now, one of the characteristics of the Christian, is that they subscribe to the fact that, anything that God hates, they hate, and whatever God says is right, they say is right. Going against what God says, is not acceptable to them. And as such, this stance makes them unpopular with a lot of people. The reason for this is obvious. While the majority of people, would, under certain circumstances, compromise their positions on issues, pertaining to Christian beliefs, the true Christian, would stand their ground. So here we have a judge, that represents a lifestyle that is an abomination to God, asking a Christian a question that, even in its simplest form, makes me wonder if this judge chose this particular question, because he knew that Carrie was a Christian. It is ironic that he got to ask her this question, or was it??. Carrie’s response to it, was as simple and straightforward as can be. It was an answer that, even though people disagreed with, was Truthful, Honest, and was not offensive, by any means. However, the fact that this judge was openly gay, and her answer offended him, not to mention the fact that there was some applause from the audience following her answer, evidently made him livid, and thus, not vote for her. |
Greetings, my friends. After a long period of absence from this part of the ministry service, the Lord has blessed me with enough time to occasionally take care of this area that I love, and that is, looking at current events, in the light of bible revelation. It is sort of mixing ‘God and state.’ This letter, is taking a look at a couple of interesting occurances in the news over the past few months. The first has to do with the recent flap over the conflict that a judge at the Miss U.S.A. pageant, had with the young lady, who, by everyone’s opinion, was a lock for winning the contest. The judge, an openly gay man, was given the chance to ask ‘Miss California, Carrie Prejean a Christian, what her opinion was about the fact that several states in this country, recently passed laws allowing for same-sex marriage. Her answer, infuriated him. Was there something sinister behind this?? Also, has anyone noticed the fact that the further we get from what God says is right, the worse things get for this nation?? And the worse they get, the more experts come forth with their opinions on how to fix it? Among all of this, not a preacher in sight! |
It is highly possible that he had enough influence with one or more of the other judges, to cause them to not vote for her. Christians would say, when confronted with a situation of standing for Christ, or compromising to get something they want. I am sure Carrie did not hesitate, to lift up her Christian beliefs, by saying she doesn’t care about losing the crown, she wouldn’t change anything she said. She truly has her head on straight.
As for the judge, he went on a foul mouthed, tirade calling her a [!B-word!], among other things, in interviews with the media after the contest. He has been on the internet blogs spewing his venom. Since then, reports have surfaced about her having breast implants, and just recently, pictures of her have been found, with her posing in supposedly, some, what they call sexually suggestive clothing. When asked about it, she responded with, “I never said I was perfect.’ This is what happens when Christians refuse to apologize for their beliefs, in a world where people think it is better to compromise, than face the wrath of people that just don’t get it. As some have said, ‘She already has her Crown, and it is a whole lot better than any crown she could get from man.’ |
When Christians get involved in activities, that offer fame, and prestige, such as these beauty pageants, they need to know that the enemy is there, waiting for a chance to steal their testimony, and embarrass them.
This same type of thing not only occurs in beauty pageants, but in practically all fields of entertainment, and need I say, politics?? In this world, Christianity, is the only religion, that, gives direction to ‘not compromise’ on its principles. The world looks at Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, as the world’s ’3 great religions.’ However, of these 3, only one is head and shoulders above the rest, and that is Christianity. Actually, just for the record, Christianity, is not a religion, it is a relationship. A relationship between mankind and God. We are family. He is our Father, and we are His children. In the other religions, the people are looked at, as being servants, or slaves to the entity, who is the focus of their particular belief. The fact that someone would dare say that Christianity is above the others, is tantamount to pouring salt in to an open wound of a wild animal. You are going to be torn apart. And, sometimes, this tearing may not just come from other religions, or the world [unbelievers], but, it may come from others in the body of Christ. The reason for this being, you have just put their lives, and reputations on the line by taking that stance. By Carrie saying what she did, she has just upheld Christ above what man considers important, and that makes |
some Christians nervous. Many of them are questioning her logic, by saying she should have answered the question a different way, considering the climate she was in. Tailoring your answers to fit the climate you are surrounded by, is compromise, any way you cut it, if it has to do with God’s Word. Remember Peter, denying Christ, 3 times, when people identified him as being one of Christ’s disciples? Then, look at Daniel and the 3 Hebrew boys, facing the Lion’s den, and the fiery furnace. They didn’t flinch. They didn’t compromise to get along. And mind you, they didn’t have the Holy Spirit, dwelling on the inside of them. Of course, we know what happened, as far as Peter was concerned, after he received the Holy Ghost. He changed to someone who was bold, and unafraid to die, for Christ. Compromise, can be looked at, as a fear of appearing to be different, and wanting to get along, when you know what’s right, but don’t stand on it. When it comes down to whom, or what I fear, take advice from this, Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. My hat goes off to Carrie, for taking that stance. And as for Perez Hilton, he needs our prayers, not only because of the lifestyle he is in, but, for the wrath of God he is going to face because of what he did to Carrie. Remember this scripture, Mat 18:5-7 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him |

that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! People may say, I am being too radical. My response to that is, ‘it only seems that way, because I have to make up for all the preachers that say nothing!!’ If more preachers stood on what God says, then I would be considered, ‘mainstream.’ |
and we need to find a way to get ourselves on the right track. However, what they don't know, is, the relationship between their agenda, and the condition we find ourselves in. In the bible, more specifically the old testament, there are countless examples of the people of a nation, having to suffer for the wickedness of their king. These people suffered, through no fault of their own, seeing that their king obtained his position, because he was an heir to the throne, by way of lineage, or because he conquered the land through war, or some other means. However, no matter what the case, the people had very little to do with who the king was, and what he did. If this king, pursued goals, that brought him in to conflict with God, then he, specifically, and sometimes his people, would suffer the wrath of God. The more wicked they got, the worse things got for them. In this nation, we are seeing the effects of what happens to a people that, have set in their minds, to pursue ungodliness, and wickedness, without any sense of right and wrong. Nothing matters to them but, their own self gratification. Any given day, we can see people merrily going about their lives, doing whatever they want, and tearing down, any one or thing, that stands in their way, to achieve the happiness they seek. One of those things that they keep tearing down, is the Word of God, the bible. Time and again, when facing criticism from the Word of God, these individuals, become like a pack of wild |
animals, ready to chew up, and spit out the person[s], that would dare to oppose them. The problem however goes a lot deeper than just these individuals placing themselves in danger. If it were just them, that had to suffer, that is one thing. But, since our nation elects its president [king], and since the people choose to support a person, and a party, that the wicked in this country, approve of, then, just like those old testament nations, and their people, America, is suffering God's wrath. The clearest example, quite simply is, as this country tries to appease these individuals, the worse things get. We think we can work our way out of this mess. We think we have the solution. If God doesn't move to help us, then we are just spinning our wheels. Any solution the experts come up with,, that ignores the ungodliness this nation is involved in, will only serve to further infuriate a God, who, has extended His Grace on this nation, far longer than He has for other nations, from the old testament through to this present day. The signs are all around. Repent, or be destroyed!! ************************************* HOME PAGE TRACT LIST NEWSLETTERS TAPE LIST |
THE EXPLOSION IN THE PUSH FOR UNGODLINESS, SPELLS DOOM FOR THIS NATION Ever since Barack Obama won the election in 2008, there has been a monumental push by those that hold views that are contrary to what God says, to further their own agenda for America, now that they have a willing partner in the white house. Among their goals, is to have every state legalize gay marriage. They also want all religious [Christian] programming, removed from the airways. I don't even have to mention abortion, which is the litmus test these groups use, to see if a person is worthy of their support, or their wrath. Time and again, I have watched the sheer hatred these groups, and their stooges in the congress, and the senate spill out on anyone that dares to question, or speak out against what they stand for. Most of this nation, knows that we are in a crisis situation, |
