ANOTHER SHOPLIFTER DIES IN STRUGGLE!!!

It has happened again. Another person, who had shoplifting on his mind, has died in a struggle with security guards.

In what seems to be a repeat of what happened last year in a Dearborn mall parking lot, took place in a Royal Oak, MI., super market, when a man, attempted to leave the market with some meat, that he had not paid for.

The man was stopped by security guards, who suspected he was shoplifting. As was the case with the shoplifter in Dearborn, he resisted. During the ensuing struggle, the man died. The cause of death was attributed to one of the guards using a sort of choke hold on him.

Once again, the question is, who is at fault here??

Some would say the guards were responsible. Some say the market. Others say, both.

The evidence of this is the lawsuit that has been filed against them, by the family of the man.

What no one has been heard saying, other than a few like myself, is that the man himself, is responsible for his death. In both instances, if the person, had only complied with the guards, they would still be alive today, even though they may be in jail.

This whole idea of suing people for doing their jobs, even when they are forced to defend themselves against someone, who has no respect for themselves or authority, is ludicrous.

Now, it is tragic that he died, but in any struggle like that, anything can happen. To say that the guards, need to be trained on handling an aggressive person is showing total ignorance of what they are dealing with.

In the 'real world', if you are dealing with an individual that has committed a criminal act, and you try to stop them because that is your job, then, as is their motto, in dealing with you, 'anything goes. '

With this latest incident, as with the one in Dearborn, the victim, was black, and, I believe the guards were also black. Excuse me for calling this man a victim. If anything, the store and the guards are the victims. They are victims, because in these instances, the black community comes out to boycott, and the family, is going to sue. All because of the stupidity of one man.

What this is showing me, as well as the nation, young and old, is that crime pays.

More and more criminals are trying to get in to a position where they can get injured, so they can sue someone.

People have been in their houses, and someone tries to break in, and the home owner, shoots them in self defense, and the criminal, if they survive, sues the homeowner, and if they die, their family sues the homeowner, if they can't get charges brought against them.

One man, who owned a small business, got tired of repeatedly finding his business broken in to when he opened up in the mornings, rigged a booby trap where he thought the burglar was coming in.

One morning, when he opened up, he found the perpetrator dead of electrocution, which is what the trap was designed to do.

Well, the family filed charges against him, and sued. There is always a lawyer out there that wants to have a big payday, and he will take on any case where he figures he can get it.

These incidents are tragic for the perpetrators and their families, true. But, let's not forget one thing, and that is the perpetrator took his own life in to his own hands when he or she, decided to embark on the path they took, no matter what the reason was.

The bible says two things, or rather three, that I want you to consider.

        1. Thou shalt not steal.

        2. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap.

        3. The wages of sin is death.

Sin, is the transgression of God's law. So, in each of these instances, the perpetrator died as a result of committing sin. So there should not be any protests or lawsuits about this. If there were less of these actions, we would probably see less crime.

One thing I was glad to see in this last incident, was when the protesters started their protest around the market, there was a counter protest, by some members of the community, which were black, saying that these protests were a disgrace to the black community, because they only serve to foster the notion that we support wrongdoing, no matter how bad it is, if a black person is the one that gets hurt, or killed.

Another sad note about these protests, is that some black preachers are the ones to jump in, to take the lead. It seems to me, as a minister, I would be doing more to educate the people that crime does not pay, neither in the natural, or spiritual realm. You keep it up, and you will pay dearly for it, now, and in the end, when you stand before God.

The black community, by and large, is the most genocidal community around. We are consistently destroying our own selves.

When one of us commits a crime, and the police come in to the community and ask for our assistance, we act like we were born yesterday. We haven't seen anything, we don't hear anything, and we don't know anything. And in far too many instances, we know who it was, but we say nothing. Therefore, the criminal gets emboldened, thinking of more and more daring things to do.

When he seeks another victim, it may be one of us. Then, we will be yelling for police protection.

It has been said, by many black leaders that the white man, wants to destroy us all. Well, at the rate things are going, if that were true, all he has to do is stand back and watch us destroy ourselves. We seem to be the experts at it.

Now, what I am about to say, will really anger some of you, but yet, it is the truth.

Ever since we called ourselves, getting back to our African roots, we have had a big problem. We have become so much like them, in that we war amongst ourselves.

Think about it.

Over there, you have one tribe of Africans, battling with another. You have leaders (or thugs, in some instances), destroying their own people, all for what??? Power.

Black on black violence in this nation, is the same thing as the black on black wars in Africa. Blacks can't seem to get along with themselves, anywhere.

Jesse Jackson, a man that I seldom agree with, made a statement one day, while speaking to some electrical workers in Philadelphia, made this comment, ' It's not the Bull Turners, or those in white hoods that are holding us back, now. It is the brother, who is a hood, in the neighborhood that is holding us back.' Amen to that, Jesse.

If, as many of us say, we want to get back to our African roots, then why do we stop short of meteing out punishment to those that disgrace us?? In Africa, raping a woman, would get you castrated, if not executed. Here, we say the woman was the one who enticed them.

Steal from someone, and you lose your hand. Abuse on of the tribal gems, the older people, and you would be beat within an inch of your life. Over here, the only way we get outraged about an attack on a senior, is if it is someone like Rosa Parks.

Commit murder over there, and you are out of there. They may find your body in a shallow grave somewhere, if you weren't fed to the wild animals. They don't tolerate the wrongdoers, but over here, we make excuses for them. Why??

Over there they have wars between tribes, over here, it's the same thing, somewhat. The tribes are gangs. And they have to be dealt with.

If we are to prove that we are responsible citizens, to ourselves, our kids, and others, especially the criminals, then we need to stop covering up for them, and turn them in, when they break the law..

As long as we have this attitude that it's us, against them (whites), we will continue to be victims of our own prejudices.
