SCRIPTURE - 1 Co 7:1-2                                                 DECEMBER, 1997

Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

SUBJECT -- LET'S TALK ABOUT SEX, BABY (FINAL)

In this last part, we will finish talking about the cause of all of our problems, and see what the solution is. The answer, is quite simple, but many 'sexperts' refuse to accept it, because they stand to lose a great deal of money, counseling those, whose lives they have messed up. Can you imagine, the malpractice suits that could be filed, by clients, once they find out the truth about what they, the 'sexperts', have done to them??

Yet, the biggest cause for our views on 'sex', is not the 'sexpert', but the church. And that is because the church, has failed to take the lead, in providing teaching on this subject. And the reason the church isn't addressing it, is because, too many preachers, are involved in sexual sin, themselves. And because of them, many souls, will end up suffering all sorts of physical, and emotional problems, and then going to hell, for eternity. But, don't worry about them getting away with it. They, the preachers, will end up paying for it.

It's a shame, that our ignorance of "sex", has caused so many problems in the world, but that, nevertheless, is what is going to continue, and get worse, if we continue to ignore one simple thing, and that is, God, and what He has to say about it. And, even with all that I have written, there is a lot more, to be said. I have barely scratched the surface.

As I mentioned in part 1, 'sex', and the power that it has over us, has brought about a new phenomenon, using sex for commercialization, and entertainment. Sex for the sole purpose of making money. And I'm not talking about prostitution. I'm talking about all sorts of devices, that are used to enhance it. I'm talking about entertainment. Movies, videos, songs, commercials, even down to selling hamburgers, and candy, throwing out the fact, that 'sex', is a 'big money' thing. The fashions of today's most popular clothing, are designed to make a person more sexually appealing. We use the term, "sex appeal", what is that??? Something to raise our consciousness of "sex", so we may be drawn to an individual, sexually. Some of our young ladies, are wearing clothes so tight, that you can see every 'nook and cranny' on their bodies, and they are proud of it. Then when one of them gets raped, they wonder why. A man, needed his 'fix', and she was advertising.

The 'soaps' and practically all of the most favorite TV programs, have at least one or two instances of implied sex, or of a suggestive nature, per half hour, and I am being very conservative, with these numbers. And mind you, these are programs, that are rated for family viewing. The more sex implied or suggested, the more popular the show.

Then, you have the talk shows, where people, involved in all sorts of bizarre things, and relationships, get paid to come on, and to tell their stories. And the sad part is, the ages of some of those, that are involved in sexual sin. The youngest boy I believe I heard about, was 6 or 7 years old. And he was encouraged in it by an older relative. The more bizarre, the more popular the show.

Well, God does have something to say to those, that find enjoyment in watching this garbage. Ro 1:28, 32 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Let me put this in plain English. God's judgment, not only falls on those that participate in fornication and adultery, but on those that like watching those that do them. You like watching pornography and other things that imply sexual sin, and you get judged, just like those that are doing them.

All of these things are mentioned in the bible. The same one that your pastor uses. Yet, they never get around to it. Or rather most of them don't. Can you imagine, going to hell, because a man, who is supposed to instruct you in living righteously before God, does not do it??? It's happening all the time. People living in sexual sin, are faithful members to a church, die before they get to repent for it, and end up in hell. You, my friend, could be next.

But, you know the biggest tragedy to all of this ignorance to sexual sin, and its ramifications is??? It is, that these same 'sexperts' have now spread their garbage in to our public schools, where they have access to your kids. They call it, 'sex education.' This is really a case of, the blind, leading the blind. (Lu 6:39) And He (JESUS) spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? You send your kids to a bunch of people, who don't know beans about 'sex', to teach them about it. Then you wonder why, your kids are getting involved sexually, and AIDS, STD's, and pregnancies among our young people, are on the rise?? Look at the recent story about the 11 year old girl, performing a sex act on a 13 year old boy, in a classroom, in the presence of the other students. And the teacher was unaware of what was going on. And I hear that this sort of thing, is not unheard of???

With all that is at stake, as mentioned in the first two parts of this message, you should find a place for yourself and your family,
that will give you all the information you need, to keep yourself, and them on the right path with God

Now, with all that I have said, you might be figuring, that it is too late to change. You might be figuring that you are destined for hell now, and there is no getting away from it, but, that's a lie.

The good news is, God, has made the way for you to get back in to right standing with Him. He has provided, the means of deliverance from the emotional, spiritual, and physical problems that are caused by 'sex.'

Many times, people, through their own ignorance, of what they are dealing with, along with the fact that there are so many others doing the same thing, begin to feel, like I mentioned earlier, that God planned it this way, and it's all natural. You would be surprised, at how widespread this belief is. Nevertheless, God, is able to set our feet on the right path, if we will only come to Him, and ask His forgiveness and help.

You see, God would be unfair, if He did not give us something by which we could live the type of life that He calls for, pertaining to this critical area of our lives. But, we first have to realize that we are doing wrong, and repent of it. That means not only saying we are sorry for what we have been doing, but to sincerely turn away from it. And to do that, you will need help. And that help, can only come from Him, in the form of Jesus Christ.

Through Christ, you and I can do all things (that pertain to righteousness) [Phi 4:13] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. As you can see, the scripture says, through Christ. That is what makes the difference.

For centuries, actually, since man first sinned in the Garden of Eden, man has tried to do things, the way he wanted to do them. He wants to be independent of God, and to lift himself up to a place that he can say, as Lucifer (Satan's former name) did, when he rebelled against God, I will be like 'the Most High.' Is. 14 : 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Is 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Is 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Is 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Is 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms.

This is the account of the fall of Satan, from Heaven, when he thought he was something. And today, man, being led by him (Satan), is trying to do the same thing. Remember what the serpent told Eve, in the garden?? Ge 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: Ge 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. So you see, Satan failed at his attempt to do it, now he is getting man, to try it, and man will fail also.

This is where we get the idea, that we don't need God, we can do it all ourselves, even when it comes to the problems we are having in this area of our lives. And you can see the mess it is causing. Not only all of the diseases, and misfits that we have in our midst, but all of the children, born out of wedlock, that grow up dependent on welfare rolls, and such, because nobody wants to really be bothered with them. Then they turn to crime, and end up in jail or dead. And what solution do we come up with?? One that the 'sexpert" comes up with, abortion. No consequences for sin?? One sin, leads to another sin.

But Christ, has the solution. And it is one that has, and will always stand the test of time, and that is His Word, the Bible. In it, we can find words like these, Is 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Is 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: Is 1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. 2Ch 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Ps 103:12        As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

We are guilty of idolatry. Idolatry, is the worship of anything that interferes with our total worship and obedience to God. To make it plain, anything we do, that goes against what God says, it is sin. And, listening to our flesh, and acting on what it wants us to do, is idolatry. We tend to appease it, rather than listening to God. Putting our will, above God's. That, is idolatry.

Christ, is calling all of us to salvation, which carries with it, the need for repentance. That is, admitting that you have sinned, and acknowledging that you can't change your ways yourself, and that you need His help. Ask Him to come in to your heart, and be Lord of your life, and He will. He will not force His way in to your life. You must invite Him in. Rev 3:20        Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

This not only goes for the churches, but Ro 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You can be that whosoever.

Trust in Him, before it is too late. Amen.

I would like to take this time to apologize to any lady, that found something offensive about the statement 'Some of our young ladies, are wearing clothes so tight, that you can see every 'nook and cranny' on their bodies, and they are proud of it. Then when one of them gets raped, they wonder why. A man, needed his 'fix', and she was advertising.' Some of you interpreted it as saying that these young women, deserved to get raped. What was meant by this, is that they attract unwanted attention, by individuals that, could lead in to more serious problems. It's like wearing a steak, in front of a hungry dog, you could get bitten.

It is not my intent, to run any one away from the truth of the gospel, but rather to draw you to Jesus Christ. Some times the messages hit hard, but they are meant to get you to face certain facts of life, and to hopefully make a change in your lifestyle. So, once again, I apologize for any offense you felt, and I will try to be a little more sensitive, in making my point, whenever possible, but, not at the expense of the truth.
