SCRIPTURE 2Th 2:7,11-12                                                                                                                                        April, 2008

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

SUBJECT - DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE!! [FINAL]

In this final installment, let's look at a short recap of what has already been presented.

First, we looked at how the title of this message seems to be suggesting that we abandon common sense. That being, the fact, that just about every decision we make, is usually based on what we see. Of course, let me say, our other senses also play a part as well. But seeing, is believing, so we are told.

Then, I described a condition that certain people in our society are in, that puts them in direct conflict with God. But, this is nothing new, because all of us, by our very nature, are in conflict with Him, through our 'sin nature.'

However, in the case of these people, they are so adamant in their conflict with Him, they refuse to believe any one or thing, that gives evidence that He, God, is real.

And, as a result of this stance, God has, in effect caused them to enter a realm of perpetual damnation. This means, thay have become, as the bible states, 'reprobates' [Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;]. Reprobate, is a term meaning 'worthless.'

There are times when, even God, will deem a person to be so far gone, that He has completely shut the door on them, meaning, they should be left alone to suffer, not only in this life, but in eternity.

It seems hard to fathom the loving God that we know, would turn His back on any soul, but that is just what He has done.

Hos 4:17 Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. Here we see a situation where God is saying, leave this person alone with his idols, meaning don't try to do anything to help him. Don't even pray for him.

There comes a point where God will damn a person, persons, groups, cities, and even nations, to all sorts of suffering with sickness, disease, poverty, death, famine, and more, and then, they die, and end up in hell. Remember the bible says, [Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.]

Now one would surmise, just how could a person reach this state of being totally rejected by God??

Well, suprisingly, they are aided in their belief, by God Himself.

Look at the underlined part of the subject scripture. It tells us that God will send them 'strong delusion [evidence]', for what purpose?? So that they shall believe a lie!!! To what end?? That they shall be damned.

When we think of delusions, we think of something a person might experience when they are either drunk, high on drugs, or severely ill, with a high fever. They see, or experience things that aren't there. They are figments of their imagination.

But, in the case of these people, they are not ill. They are not high, neither are they drunk. They are making a conscious choice to pursue something that puts them in to direct conflict with God. So much so, that they will literally attack anyone or thing that even remotely gives evidence of the reality of God.

And for this stance, God, not only allows them to believe a lie, but He will actually provide them with evidence, to help keep them in a state of 'chasing their tails' so to speak.

The definition of a delusion is, 1. certainty (held with absolute conviction) 2. incorrigibility (not changeable by compelling counterargument or proof to the contrary) 3. impossibility or falsity of content (implausible, bizarre or patently untrue).

Well, God sets up evidence that will encourage them to believe the lie that they are trying to prove.

They want to believe that man, evolved from monkeys, through the process of evolution. So he provides evidence to support that lie. Man wants to believe that the earth is billions of years old (I'm not saying that it isn't), but to listen to some of these so-called experts on the subject, they act as if they were here, when it was created.

Then we have the dinosaurs. Once again, experts in the field tell you how long ago they lived. What they ate. What caused their extinction and more. Once again, sounding like they lived back there with them.

Now we have 'global warming.' We are told the earth is heating up, due to problems caused by man, because of our use of fossil fuels, hydrocarbons, CO₂ [carbon dioxide]and other factors, according to these fools [Psa 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.] Yet, by their own evidence, man wasn't using these things millions of years ago, so how did the earth warm up to what it is today, from the 'ice age'?? Man wasn't using this stuff back then??

They believe that we can do something to stop this 'warming' process by literally going back to the horse and buggy days, and getting rid of everything that they say is causing the problem. But, as I mentioned last month, they are beginning to realize something, and that is, what they thought was 'global warming', is actually 'climate change.' The earth is not warming up, instead, climates are changing. Areas that used to be cold, are warming up. And, areas that used to be warm, are cooling down. Glaciers are melting in the Arctic areas, and fruit is freezing in Florida and California.

Now, I am going to add a few other things, that are the lies of man, that God is not only allowing them to believe, but supplying them evidence, which to them, proves they are right.

These same people believe that what is growing in the womb of a woman who is pregnant, isn't human, and is therefore nothing more than a sort of 'tumor.' But then they say, after the second trimester, they consider it to be human. How they come to that conclusion, is beyond me. But it probably has to do with evidence they have gathered over the years, with their machines(computers), that were programmed by them with faulty data, to provide them with that evidence.

Then they say, if a baby comes out of the womb head first, it is 'born alive.' However, if you go in, turn the baby around and pull it out feet first, then before you pull the head out, you kill it, then pull it the rest of the way out, it was 'stillborn.' This is what is known as 'partial birth abortion.'

This is the lunacy of people that are caught in that cycle of damnation that God has set up for them.

The homosexual, is told by these people that if there is a God, He made them that way. If there isn't a God, then they were born that way, because of their DNA.

Once again, man and his faulty machines (computers), are saying they can look at the DNA of every gay person, and they all have a certain gene, that identifies them as being gay. And they call that proof.

That is another delusion that God is using to keep them damned.

God revealed something to me years ago about this. He said, These DNA characteristics, change, as the individual's personality changes. The DNA doesn't control what the individual will act like, but the person's actions will alter the DNA. It is sort of like the 'chicken or the egg theory.' Which came first??

With all of the evidence that the bible presents about these few, and other situations, being lies, these fools [Psa 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.], absolutely refuse to accept it.

[1Ki 22:20-23] And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

That's right. God will use [allow] lying spirits to come forth and cause people to walk in to damnation and destruction, with their eyes wide open.

Now you take that, and look at all aspects of our society, where we are being led to believe things, based, once again, on evidence provided by those that have a problem with the reality of God, and you can see what is wrong with this nation in particular, and the world.

The economy is collapsing. Crime and violence is on the increase. Jobs are leaving this country in droves. People are losing their homes. Morality is gone. The people don't know what is right and what is wrong anymore because the so-called preachers that have the ears of most of the society in this nation, are like the prophets of Ahab, that have a lying spirit in their mouths, sent by God, that they will end up reaping the rewards of their foolishness.

These preachers are in direct violation of scripture which says, 'Rom 8:4-7 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

What this scripture is saying essentially, is, it is a disaster to look at, and make decisions about our lives based on things that man considers important, such as solutions to problems that face us.

We must first look at what God says about the problems, and follow His recommendations to deal with, and eliminate it. To do otherwise, is to set yourself up for destruction. And that is what these preachers are doing. Because they are using the evidence that man presents, and acting on that, rather than seeking God's direction. This means they are rejecting Him. And, if He is rejected, then, the solutions He allows them to put in to action, will appear to be achieving the desired effect, but that is so they will become trapped in a maze of their own making. They keep going around and around, steadily digging themselves deeper and deeper in to oblivion.

It's not hard to find something wrong, and make a snap judgement on how to fix it, at first glance. And that's the problem. The easy solutions, are usually found in plain sight, because that is what the devil wants. But, the Real Solutions, must be sought out, because they are rooted in God's Word.

Therefore, don't believe everything you see, unless it agrees with what God says.
