SCRIPTURE - ACTS 5:38-41                                                                                                                           DECEMBER, 2007

And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men,
it will come to nought:
But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest happy ye be found even to fight against God.
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they
should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

SUBJECT – SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE (4)

This is the final installment of this message, even though there is much more that could be revealed.

Having said that, let’s look at what has been revealed so far in the first 3 parts, then I will finish, by presenting a myriad of other evidence, that shows how, even though many call for a separation of Church and state, there is only a one sided view of the issue, for the state, has invaded the church,, and rendered it impotent, as far as it being what Christ, designed it to be.

First, we looked at the first amendment of the Constitution, the part talking about ‘religion’, and we found out, the interpretation of that part, is grossly misinterpreted, in that it only identifies, one segment of our society, Christianity, while allowing, and in some instances, actually advocating, other religions’ beliefs in our public schools. This one action, has set the stage for our youth, to grow up, being indoctrinated in a religious mindset, that is detrimental, to them, and this nation.

We then looked at the dictionary and found out, that the definition of ‘religion’, condensed, really means ‘a philosophy, that, one, patterns their lives after.’

Next, we looked at several things, that, are not considered as religions, but, according to the dictionary definition of ‘religion’ which states, 2 : a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices, 3 archaic : scrupulous conformity : CONSCIENTIOUSNESS, 4 : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith - re·li·gion·less adjective, actually, are..

As a result, our children, are being indoctrinated in a religion, and that goes totally against what the Constitution, says, by establishing a religion, while at the same time, suppressing the freedom of our children, the protection from being indoctrinated against their’s and their parent’s religious beliefs, while in school.

Now, the Supreme court, ruled on the question of children, that were not Christians, having to participate in prayer, while in a state sponsored institution, was unconstitutional. And from that, we got the term of ‘separation of church and state.’

So, prayer was taken out of the schools.

Prayer, was the last function, in the public schools, that gave any recognition to God. Some years or so before that, the scientific theory of evolution, was introduced, to counteract, or rather challenge children, whose minds were not yet steadfastly fixated, in their faith. That way, they could be indoctrinated, without the knowledge of the parents.

All of these, are steps that the religion of ‘humanism’ uses, to get rid of things that, help promote faith in God, through Jesus Christ. The reason I put it like this, is because, if your faith is in some other religion, such as, Islam, Buddhism, or any of the other hundreds of religions that have, some supernatural, or, popular figure as their focal point, then it is highly possible that they can be studied in the public schools, and not challenged by this law.

Well, as the kids go through the public school system, their minds become contaminated, and they begin to believe, things that God says should be shunned.

Most Christian parents, would be totally shocked, and outraged, if they actually took the time to look at what many of their children’s textbooks, use as a foundation for teaching them.

When I was in elementary school, 1951-1957, we had books that used, rather, presented things, from the perspective of family, father (the provider for the family), mom (wife and housekeeper), and both of them, as parents (caregivers) of children. (Fun with Dick and Jane), was one of these core books, that presented the family, and its relationships, the way God intends for it to be. This was an extension of what the child was taught at home, and in church.

But that’s gone today. Thanks to the religion of humanism, that is being taught in the schools today.

God says what the function of the man, woman, and children should be in the family relationship. This is, God’s perfect design for the family. When it is followed, God will bless it. Deterring from that design, means the blessings will begin to vanish. The greater the detour, the greater the loss of blessings.

Humanism, and other religions, present a picture of the family, that is at variance with what God says is His perfect design for it. We have everything from the case of the man, thinking he is king in the house, with the wife and children, as his property, and slaves, to, a house where both parents are of the same sex.

Humanism, takes the view that, as long as there are two consenting adults in a relationship, either joined in some sort of legal commitment, or not, then, that is acceptable as a family, in its sight.

Humanism points out, that Christianity, is too restrictive. It says, Christianity, seeks to be intolerant to other religions, and doesn’t adapt itself to changes in the times. This means, things that were looked at as being ungodly, or sin, in the past, are now the norm, and should be acceptable, today.

Now, since this religion, invaded our schools, back in the late 60’s, we see the results of its indoctrination today.

Kids graduating from school, with all sorts of ideas of what is acceptable in society, and they try to adapt everything they do, to that standard. Everything, including their Christianity, if that is what it takes. And if they can’t change it through getting the church to accept the ideas of humanism, then they will get the government to force it to change, by passing laws that will punish those that stand on the principles of what the bible says, and rewarding those that go along with the program.

Humanism, has opened up a ‘pandora’s box’, where just about anything that man can imagine, is acceptable. If you will remember, it was this same type of attitude, that led to God destroying everything, with the flood, in Noah’s day. [Ge 6:5-7] And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. And this attitude has invaded a lot of churches, as pastors, having been indoctrinated with humanistic principles, either in public schools, or our colleges, and universities, are mixing these principles with the ‘Word of God’, and corrupting the people that hear it, by getting them to believe, it is God’s Truth.

Any truth, that is anything less than 100%, is, for all intents and purposes, not the truth, but merely a shadow of the truth. And only Jesus Christ, and His Word are 100% Truth. [John 14:6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [John 14:17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.. No one can walk in total Truth, by accident. It takes Jesus Christ, to lead them.

Go by a lot of these churches, where there is a sign in front of it, with the pastor’s name on it, and see if, after their name, there is an abbreviation, designating the degrees the pastor has. If you see PhD., or ThD, BA, or one of the other types of degrees, then there is a great danger, that they have been indoctrinated in the fundamentals of humanism. Even if their education was through a seminary, it could still be contaminated with bits of humanist values.

It doesn’t take much. In fact, to the ordinary minded person, it appears as nothing more than knit-picking, on my part. Barely worth looking at. But, what does the bible say?? [SSol 2:15] Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. It is the little things, that are overlooked, that can really get in, and destroy you.

Have you seen the commercial about blood clots, where it shows a man in perfect physical condition, nearly being taken out by a small blood clot?? How about cancer, and some of those other diseases, that creep in on you, over the years?? They get planted, take root and silently grow, until one day, you notice something wrong, but by then, it is too late. That is what the public schools, laced with humanism, are doing to this nation, through our young people.

If you don’t believe that, all you have to do, is look at the actions of our youth today.

Now, you should know, God is not going to let this foolishness go unpunished. His wrath has been kindled against it, and all that participate in it, are feeling His wrath.

So, what does humanism try to do??

Rather than calling the people to repentance, it puts the blame on God, by saying, ‘If this is what God is like, then we want no part of Him. Who would want to serve a God like that??’

Well, these humanistic minded preachers, adapt that philosophy, and rather than take steps, that would call people to the fact that, according to, [2 Chron 7:14] ‘if My people, which are called by my name (Christians), will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways (repent), then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land’, the way to escape God’s wrath, is to repent (turn from our wickedness so things will go well for us), they say, ‘this is not God’s wrath against us, it is the fault of this certain group, or individual (in this case, they are talking about Republicans, George Bush, or those that stand on the Word of God, the ‘Religious Right.’) This way, we have someone, or thing , that we can change, or get rid of, than having to admit we need God.

Do you see how the blame is put on those that take a stand against this cancer that has invaded society, and made its way in to the pulpits of our churches??

There was an old cigarette commercial, back in the 60’s I believe that said, ‘I’d rather fight, than switch’, talking about switching brands of cigarettes.

Well, today, the humanists, are taking that stand. They would rather fight, against God, than repent. At least they are standing for what they believe. But, the flip side of that is too many preachers, are willing to switch, than fight. Meaning, they are willing to fight against God, moreso than fight against Humanism.

Take a look at the subject verses again. Here you have the same situation, but these men, ‘fought, rather than switch. and were proud to be persecuted for their stance, when it would be soooo easy to switch, and enjoy the blessings (curse) of what the world has to offer. Read about Daniel, or Shadrach, Mesach, and Abedneggo, in the book of Daniel [Dan. 3 and 6], and see what they did, when faced with ‘separation of God and state.’ They put their lives on the line, for their faith. They had guts. That is a whole lot more than what I see in some of our so-called leaders in the church, and communities, today. The humanistic state, has laid down the law, and these preachers, are going along with it.

Tell me, anybody, please, when is the last time you have heard any of them, talking about pastors, and other preachers, when addressing the problems we are facing in this world today, and especially in the black community in this nation, mention that our ‘real problem’ is that we need to repent, and get back to God??? They aren’t going to do it. Why?? because they would quickly lose their status with the humanists, of this nation. Or, if they do, they are talking about those of us that stand solidly on what ‘Thus saith the Lord”, needing to repent, and come to the god, that they serve. A god that compromises with the ungodly, and accepts any and everything that man comes up with, just so we will like, and accept him.

This type of God, doesn’t exist, except in the minds of men.

Now, some may wonder, how I am able to see these things, while others aren’t.

It is because I choose to walk in the Spirit, and see things the way God sees them, which, by the way, is the same thing we are instructed to do. So, it is not because I am bragging, or have special favor with God. [Gal 5:16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [1Cor 2:16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. So, this is something that we have available to us but few take advantage of it. And they do so, because of the intimidation coming from the ungodly, and other preachers, and christians, that choose to walk after the flesh.

As a result, the Church, is steadily declining in its ability to show the power that Christ has given it. I’m talking about the power that is able to destroy all the works of the devil. Power to heal the sick, open blind eyes, cause the deaf to hear, and the lame to walk. Power, to cure cancer, high blood pressure, sugar diabetes, and every other thing the devil can throw at us. Even power to raise the dead. That’s right, that is the power that Christ has given His Church. But that power has been taken away in a lot of churches, because of the failure of their leaders, to walk, solely, in the paths that Christ laid out for all of us to walk in. Then, when these preachers are questioned about people getting healed and delivered in other churches, where the emphasis, is on walking in righteousness, and in the Spirit, these preachers say, it is trickery. That is humanism 101. ‘It must be tricks. If God were the God people say He is, we would be experiencing these things in our church.’ They still refuse to recognize that they are out of touch with God, and therefore, on their own. He has nothing to do with them, unless they repent (2Chron. 7:14). A lamp will not burn, if it is not connected to a power source, will it?? By the same token, a church will not function, as it should, if it is not connected to Christ, the source of its power.

Well, here are some things that are not tricks.

The moral condition of this nation, is steadily declining. And with that, immorality, and crime are increasing. The economic status of cities, and states in this nation, that have a higher than the national average in poverty, unemployment, crime, health problems, infant mortality, hopelessness, disease, and such, are the ones, that embrace ‘humanism’, in one of its many forms, while at the same time, rejecting Christ.

The religion of humanism, has many different forms. It could appear as environmentalism, animal rights, attacks on the family, the way God designed it (gay marriage, and children’s rights), political correctness, affirmative action, global warming, socialism, communism, common ground (compromise, in order to get along), nobody’s perfect, we are all god’s children, and a myriad of others. These are all parts of religion, and congress has made laws, to back them up, and even allow the public schools to teach them.

Yet, if a child comes to school with a bible, or a T-shirt with the ten commandments, or a picture of Christ on it, they are told to go home and change shirts, and to leave their bible in their locker, or outside the school. As hard as it is to fire school teachers with tenure, several have been fired, for reading a bible, while on break, in the teacher’s lounge. And the thing is, their union, didn’t back them up. Several female teachers, are having sex with their students, and they get put on administrative leave, with pay, while their union hires lawyers for them, to defend them.

A sitting president, commits adultery in the white house, and when calls go out for him to be impeached, which by the way, is on the books as law, preachers, especially in the black community, jump up to his defense. A radio personality, uses some derogatory language to describe some black girls, and these same preachers want him fired, and to never be able to get a job again, making the type of money he was making. The man asked forgiveness, and these preachers still want him to suffer. Maybe they should read the bible, where it says, (Mat 6:14-15) For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Or maybe [Mat 18:21-22] Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Now, I am not talking about him committing a crime, but rather an offense.

God, instituted capital punishment, (Ge 9:6) Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. These preachers, indoctrinated with humanism, say, it is immoral. That means then, that God is immoral.

God says children, need to be disciplined, up to, and including spanking [Prv 23:13-14 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. Humanism says that is child abuse. That means God is an abuser of children.

God set up the family, with the man at the head, and therefore, since the Church is an extension of that same principle (the family), the man is put in the office of pastor, and bishop. [1Tim 2:11-15] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. [Eph 5:22] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Well, humanism, calls that male chauvinism. That means that God is a chauvinist.

Women, Christ does have a job for you in the body of Christ, and that is, [Titus 2:3-5] The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Doing otherwise, is blasphemy against God’s Word , Jesus Christ (the Word made flesh). How many of you have a job, where you work for someone?? Do you defy that person, by trying to do a job, that he/she hired you to do?? Well, in the Church, Jesus is the boss, and He has assigned us jobs to do. Are you really going to defy Him, by doing something He did not assign you to do??

Humanism decries the number of deaths, of our military personnel, and innocent Iraquis, which total nearly 125,000, calling it a sort of unjust holocaust. Yet, these preachers, have no problem accepting the over 53 million killings of innocent, unborn babies [1.5 million/yr since 1972], in the name of women’s rights

The list goes on and on. Do you see the problem?? The state, is actually setting the guidelines that the church must follow, if it wants to exist among the community. And these preachers, are falling right in line with it. These guidelines, can appropriately called, the gospel of humanism.

So, in closing, look at the mess this nation is in, and realize this, it is all because of ‘separation of God, and state.

What the Christian needs to do, is separate themselves first, from these preachers, and then from any politician, that follows this lunacy, and join themselves with those that stand up for the True Gospel, and support politicians that are fighting against it.

If our churches don’t turn around, then the politician won’t turn around. And if the politician won’t turn around, then this nation can’t be turned around. And if the nation isn’t turned around, then, God’s wrath will only increase, until this nation either repents, or is destroyed, not by George Bush or the Republicans, but by Him.
