challenge to black preachers

SCRIPTURE - 2Cor 11:13-15                                                                                                   DECEMBER, 2012

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness;
whose end shall be according to their works.

SUBJECT – A CHALLLENGE TO BLACK PREACHERS
This message, will start a little different than most of the other messages, in that I am going to start with an entire passage of scripture.

Knowing that most people, when presented with the suggestion that they read bible passages themselves, neglect to do it. So, I decided to put the entire passage of scripture here, for you to read, before I address the challenge, that I am directing at the men, and women, in the black community, that hold the title of preachers.

Prv 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

prv 1:2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

prv 1:3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

prv 1:4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

prv 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

prv 1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

prv 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

prv 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

prv 1:9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

prv 1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

prv 1:11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:

prv 1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:

prv 1:13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:

prv 1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

prv 1:15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

prv 1:16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

prv 1:17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

prv 1:18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.

prv 1:19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

prv 1:20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

prv 1:21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,

prv 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

prv 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

prv 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

prv 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

prv 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

prv 1:27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

prv 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

prv 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

prv 1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

prv 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

prv 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

prv 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

If you will look at the subject scripture, there is a description given of what is described as, ministers, that go around masquerading as men, and women of God [Christ], that are really in allegiance with the Devil.

They are able to do this because, they know all the right things to say, that sound good, that sound as if they are speaking God's Truth, but, are really twisting it, for the express purpose to deceive those that listen to them, so that they can be enriched, and well spoken of. While at the same time, leading them in to direct confrontation with God, and in to the clutches of the Devil, whose end is hell, and the lake of fire and brimstone.

Next, in Proverbs 1, we see starting out, a challenge for mankind, more specifically, God's people, to use wisdom, Godly wisdom. In order to do that, His people, must be of a mindset, to seek, and follow, God's direction, and instruction.

Wisdom tells us, that since God is in control of everything, and it behooves us to be on His Good side, rather than on His wrong side. He tells us about fools, who, hate following directions, and are more concerned with what they can get from others, by force, violence and trickery. And we are told to stay away from them, because of what is in store for them.

If we consider what happened to people in the old testament, that defied God's Word, the examples are very clear. It is a fool's folly. Yet, today, this new breed of preacher, completely ignores what happened in the past, claiming/believing, that all of that is in the past, and not for this dispensation.

If one were to understand the concept, which most don't, that God/Christ, is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and changes not, then, you must assume, what was done in the past, is part of the nature of God. You can see, what the future holds for the ungodly, in Revelations. God is holding His wrath, to the final judgment, when all things will come to their deserved end. In the mean time, He allows bits and pieces of what is coming, to occur, within our present time.

Those of us with the correct Spiritual eyesight, can see what is happening, and are trying to warn others to turn around, only to be met with attack after attack, by the false preachers and their followers.

Why should we put our necks on the line for the damned?? Because that is what Christ did for us. And that is what He commanded us, to do for others. We know what the end will be, for the hard headed, and stiff necked.

Proverbs 1, gives us a complete summary of the wickedness of this generation, and what it will lead to.

Then in verses 20-23, God, asks a question about why they continue to pursue their own way, despite what He says, they should do. He always gives a warning before He responds with judgment

Starting at verse 24, He presents all of the things He has done, to keep from having to do what He is about to, and what their response was.

He then goes in to outlining the curse that is now on them. A curse that can not be wiped away, by pleas for mercy, crying, and anguish. In fact, He says, He is going to sit back and laugh at them [verses 26-28].

He is going to let them completely destroy themselves, as they continue to try to make their own way, following their own knowledge and wisdom, which, if you look at it, compared to God's, is zero.

Bring that in to today, and you can see how this scenario is playing out, exactly as it was described, nearly 4500 years ago. Solomon once said, there is nothing new under the sun. What we see today, is what has happened to every nation from Genesis through to today.

Fools, when met with God's judgment, refuse to see it as such, and repent, but rather enlist more souls to fight even harder to overcome it, and as a result, further increase God's wrath on themselves, and their families.

You think all these black babies, kids, and young people being killed in the streets of this nation, or dying from suicide, drug overdoses, or ailments that are usually attributed to the elderly, like heart attacks and strokes, is a mystery?? To the blind, yes it is. But to those of us, with a clear vision of God, it is His Justice.

prv 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? In other words, how long will you look at things, and figure it something so simple, that you can handle it on your own??

It is time to get back to God, the God of the bible. Start out this coming new year, on the right foot.

That includes you black preachers
