SCRIPTURE – MAT. 18:6-7                                                                                                                                                   JANUARY, 2025
But whoso shall offend one of these LITTLE ONES WHICH BELIEVE IN ME, it were better for him that a millstone were
hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; BUT WOE TO THAT MAN BY WHOM
THE OFFENCE COMETH!

The message for this month, has to deal with something that many ministers in the body of Christ, won't touch with a 10ft. Pole!! Especially if they happen to be black!!

The reasons for this position are, the majority of them feel that the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, forbids that type of thing, when it comes to dealing with government.

Then, we have the case that many of these same preachers, benefit monetarily, or socially, from the political party they support!!

Then, we have the fact that most of them, are totally blind as to what their actions are doing, not only to themselves, but to those that listen to them.

Lastly, they have a reputation to protect. And, they will do anything they can, including destroying the lives of others, to protect it.

Now, this message will give you, if you are interested, some insight in to how all of this plays out, in what you call, 'THE REAL WORLD!!'

In our subject passage of scripture, Jesus is giving those that are listening to Him, what could best be described as a stern warning. He is telling them that, in this life, things are going to occur, that will put them in a position, to respond in a manner that could cause them to fall out of favor with God.

He told them that this is only natural. The reason being, we all have an enemy, Satan, that goes about trying to destroy God's people [mankind]. 1Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:, John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:.

Now, the Devil, unlike God, is limited by God, in what He can do. However, one thing that he has almost total access to, is our minds. And it is through this avenue that he can get us to do just about whatsoever he wants us to do.

And why is this??

Because, all of us, unless we are 'saved', are his servants, thanks to Adam.

If you read what happened in the Garden of Eden, you will see that Satan, in the form of a serpent, came to Eve, and engaged her in a conversation in which he convinced her to go against what God had told them not to do.

Well, she listened to him and disobeyed God. She then got Adam to do the same thing as well.

The point to this story is, Satan will come to an individual and speak to them, through their minds, to get them to do his bidding.

In the Gospels, we find that after Jesus was baptized, He went in to the wilderness for 40 days of fasting and prayer.

After that, Satan came to Him, and tried using the same tricks and deceptions that he used on Eve. But, Jesus responded with '3 KEY WORDS', it is written!!!

Now, what I want you to see is this!!!

If and when God chooses to use anyone, to accomplish a certain task, and that person is following His direction, then that is when Satan will try to stop them from completing it. The more beneficial it is to mankind, the greater the resistance Satan will mount against them to stop them.

Now, as Jesus went on to say, in the subject verse 6, any thing, or anyone specifically, that poses a barrier, threat, or mounts and attack on this person, would be better off, if they were drowned in the depths of the sea.

What happens when a person is drowned in the depth of the sea?? First of all it is a terrifying way to die. Next, because of the location, and having the millstone around their necks, they will not be found, meaning they can't be buried. That means that loved ones can't come and visit their grave.

Then we have the idea that the creatures of the sea, will probably devour their bodies, and others will make homes in their skeletons.

And Jesus says this would be better for them than what will happen to them for attacking His[God's/Christ's] servant.

Now you might be wondering why I chose the title that I did!!

It is simple, if ever there were any individual, or group of individuals who fit the bill as to what I just got throughdescribing as enemies of God, and His [Servants/Children], then this group wins the prize, hands down!!!

If you were to closely examine everything that God says is what needs to be eliminated from the earth, as far as sinful behavior goes, this

group of people go out of their way to support those that are involved in it, so that they can keep on doing it. If anyone stands up and calls it what it is, or takes steps to get rid of it, this group will attack them.

The same thing goes for those that stand up to support those things that God says needs to be supported.

In short, they have proven themselves to be an enemy to all mankind, as well as God.

Now the question is, how did they get to be in this position???

Remember at the beginning of this message, I started out talking about 'preachers', especially in the black community???

That is your answer!!

You see, Satan knows this, if you violate God's Commandments, you are going to suffer. And, if you are suffering, you will become desperate to find some way to ease or eliminate that suffering.

Now, in the mind of most individuals, depending on what form that suffering takes, physical, mental or financial, ultimately there are only 2 ways to get it. One is from God, and the other is the Devil.

In order to get something from God, you most likely have to adhere to His directions for your life. Those instructions might be turning away from some sort of sinful activity that you are engaged in, that may have been the reason for your problem.

With Satan, the problem could be solved if you will do as he, Satan desires you to do, which is keep doing what you are doing, and attack those that stand up against him.

This is tantamount to selling your soul to the Devil. Of course, if you are not saved, he already has you. In that case, he wants you to go deeper in to the battle against God.

Now the point is, any preacher, that is a pastor, should know this. And with that being the case, should want to steer his 'flock' away from anything that smells of this type of behavior.

But, if he is looking out for himself, and his interests, then, the congregation will be misled in to believing that there is nothing wrong in supporting one of these candidates that the Democratic party sends to their church to campaign.

I get asked many times about the Republican party, and my response is this.

Since no one is perfect among us, then that means God has to use imperfect people to accomplish His Perfect Goal.

With that being the case, then you have to know, when you have a choice between 2 [evils/imperfect individuals], and you have to choose 1, you need to choose the 1 that is the lesser of the 2 [imperfect individuals/evils.]

Or another way to put it is, choose the 1 that is closer to being what God says His Children need to be.

In both cases, if you choose the other individual, you are moving away from God, and not to Him.

Notice, in the subject scripture, Jesus refers to 'LITTLE ONES WHICH BELIEVE IN ME.'

This means that they follow His directions for their lives. They do what He wants them to do.

This past election cycle was a glaring example of what an all out attack from Satan can entail.

You had Joe Biden, and then Kamala Harris, both of which are, probably good people at heart, who claimed to be standing up for the poor, the down-trodden, and marginalized. Both are Democrats.

The other side had Donald Trump. Here is a man that many took offense to, because he is a billionaire, and as such, was not beholden to any special interest groups or corporations.

His campaign style rubbed many people the wrong way, because he was not politically-correct. He called things as he saw them. He didn't bite his tongue, to get along with people.

He made his intentions perfectly clear as to what he was going to do. In other-words, you want someone to be transparent?? You have him.

Of course, this didn't sit well with the Democrats, because, in their minds, he was a racist, misogynist, and was only looking out for himself, and his rich buddies.

Now just to remind you, he had already been president for 1 term.

During that term, the Democrats did everything in their power to get rid of him, legally.

They falsely accused him of things that got him impeached. They had people sue him, for various crimes, all in an attempt to, if not get him removed from office, to keep him from being re-elected for another term.

With all of these accusations directed at him, what did he do?? Well, Like Jesus, the apostles, Paul, Daniel, the 3 Hebrew boys, Joseph and others, nothing.

He just went about doing what God had called him to do.

Why do I say 'what God directed him to do???' Because he put in place the mechanism which led to the single biggest offensive action that mankind could ever mount against God, abortion.

That was the Democrat's most sacred-cow. That is the measuring stick that they used to either support or reject a judge to a Federal Court Bench.

When they lost that, they went ballistic.

Then in 2020, when he ran for a second term, they stole the election.

Then, in 2024, he runs again, and they try to kill him, and he wins.

Now, I will say this. I believe most Democrats are good God-fearing people. The problem is, when they go to church, if the pastor doesn't relay the message to them about the consequences of sin, and the need for them to abandon it, then, in their minds, they aren't doing anything wrong.

This especially holds true for black preachers.

The influence the black community has in the Democratic party, is monumental. The majority of Democrat politicians know that if they don't get the black community to support them, they will lose. And who is it that influences the black community in who to vote for??? Black preachers.

Therefore, since the Democratic party, and its positions on moral issues, is the cause of this nation's problems, and the black community is responsible for what the Democrats are doing, then, in the end, the black preacher is responsible for the whole thing.

So, given that scenario, who do you think God's wrath is going to fall on first?? The black community, and its leadership!!!

So, the black community ends up suffering, and where do they go for solutions??? Those same black preachers and the Democratic party, who blame the Republicans and Donald Trump for their problems.

Quite frankly, I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome of the election on Nov.5. Not only that Trump won, but how quickly he reached the 270 electoral votes, and how he won all the swing states, and the popular vote as well.

These things tell me that God had a hand in the outcome, as well as all of what happened to him during this recent campaign, talking about the assassination attempt.

The 'left' is trying to figure out what went wrong. Unless they get their heads out of the sand, and change course, they are going to feel the full effect of what it means to be on the wrong side of God's Mercy and Grace!!

Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Which side do you really want to be on???
