SHOPPER DIES AT THE HANDS OF SECURITY GUARDS!!
In the case of a man, who was reportedly shopping with his family, when he was killed in a scuffle with security guards of a Lord and Taylor store, after a young girl, in his party, was caught shoplifting, new details have come to light.
Last issue, I reported that the details were sketchy, and that I would finish commenting on it in this issue.
To briefly re hash what was already said, a man and, what was presumed to be his family went in to a store, and later, left, not knowing that a young girl, presumed to be a daughter, or niece or his, had left the store without paying for a little bracelet, costing $4.00.
When confronted in the parking lot by guards, the man offered to pay the $4.00, but the guards asked them to step inside the store, in which a scuffle broke out, and the man ended up dead.
Now, new revelations from the store, video tapes, and others, paint a totally different picture of what happened.
Firs, instead of this being a shopping venture, it turns out that they (I don't know how many of them, there were), were on a shoplifting spree.
That's right, the whole group, was on a crime spree. I was wondering why it took as many as 5 guards to go out and bring 2 people in, and why they didn't want to accept $4.00 for the bracelet. Now I know why.
Video tapes, show, that the women, (at least 2), had enough jewelry on their arms (lifted), that classified what they had done, as being a felony.
The struggle, started by the man, was actually a way for him to distract the
guards, so the women could run, and put the jewelry up, and come back, and act as if the only problem, was with the $4.00 bracelet.
It is unfortunate that the man, lost his life, but, at the same time, things like this happen, when people try to commit a crime, and get caught, and refuse to do what they are told by authorities, no matter what position they are in.
The other bad thing about it, is that they were using a child, to help them shoplift. That's right, they were corrupting this little girl's mind, to become a shoplifter as well.
In the over all scheme of things, this little girl, probably has learned one thing, and that is, crime, no matter how small, can cost you your life.
The bible says, 'the wages of sin, is death' [scripture]. This man was engaged, not only in the sin of stealing, but corrupting a child's mind, and he paid for it with his life.
It is truly a shame when anyone loses their life to violence, yet there is a lesson here to be learned.
All of us, may be doing wrong, from time to time, and be getting away with it, we think. But, God, is allowing us time to realize our mistakes, and repent. His grace may extend to an individual for several days, weeks, or years. However, that does not mean He goes along with it. And, depending on the individual, when He has extended His grace as far as He chooses, then that person's time, has run out. This man had, I am sure, opportunity after opportunity, to change his ways, but evidently, was blinded by the devil, to the truth, and was led down the path to his own destruction.
But, as if that wasn't bad enough, it is getting worse. I mentioned how the little girl, has learned one valuable lesson, and that is, criminal activity, leads to death. Yet, in the midst of this, it appears that there are some that believe that, if this happens, then, it should be rewarded with a big payoff.
Upon hearing about this situation, a couple of well known preachers, and a well known attorney in the area, are trying o turn this incident, in to a big payoff, for the other participants in the crime.
The lawyer, has filed a $600,000 lawsuit against the store, and the mall, the store
is in, and who knows, who, in behalf of the man's supposed to be, common law wife, and her family.
This, to me is one of the most telling signs, of where our society has deteriorated to, that there ever has been. A person does something stupid, gets themselves injured or killed, and we want to make someone else, pay for it.
Now the fact that a lawyer wants to sue someone, is one thing, but, when preachers begin to side with evildoers, to make names for themselves, and to possibly punish someone, who, was only protecting their goods, then there is a big problem.
It is not like this killing, was deliberate. One of the guards, was charged with, involuntary manslaughter, meaning that he did not intentionally mean to kill the man, if he did, at all. Autopsy reports have conflicting results. One says that the man suffocated from having a crushed windpipe. Another says he died from heart failure. But, the bottom line is, if he had obeyed the authorities, even if they were, as the lawyer calls them, 'rent a cops', he would have possibly been alive today.
Anyway, the man's common law wife, if she really was that, has a history of child abuse, child endangerment, and a warrant for her arrest, from failing to appear in court to answer for these and other charges, from years back. What a piece of work, she is. And she stands, to get over a half of a billion dollars, minus what the attorney will get, for living, basically a life of crime. They are making it appear as if, crime, in these times, does pay.
Getting back to the preachers. The message they are sending, is that this was a racist incident, because of what has been commonly called, by them, 'racist profiling'. It is a label that has been given to the action of scrutinizing people, more than others, based on their color. What they are saying, is that the only reason this incident happened, is that the store, from the minute this man, and his, cohorts, entered the store, was under constant surveillance, as evidenced by the tapes, only because he, and they were black. Never mind the fact that the store ad good reason to do it, seeing that they had a lot more things, than a $4.00 bracelet. If I owned a store, and a group of people came in, and looking suspicious, I would watch them too. And,
believe me, I know what suspicious looks like.
These preachers seem to think people are just plain fools.
If a trial comes up, and this woman, is awarded a large sum of money, then it will just go to show, that maybe we are all fools.
If I were the owners of the store, I would appeal, all the way up to the Supreme Court.
I'll be watching this one, Lord willing.
